Ocean acidification and marine ecosystems have been identified as the number one speciality in Ecology and Environmental Sciences in the recent report “Research Fronts 2013: 100 top-ranked specialities in the sciences and social sciences” by Thompson Reuters.
This report presents 100 specialties of current interest and intensive investigation in the sciences and social sciences. The selection procedure was designed to identify the most active research fronts and, among them, those in which new knowledge is accumulating most rapidly.
